Parent Teacher Conference

Back in May, I had the privilege of working on a short film called “Parent Teacher Conference”, written and directed by Nyeem. I was so grateful to Nyeem for bringing me on to this project after we last worked together on recreating a scene from “Birdman”. “Parent Teacher Conference” follows my character, a young mother, as she attends her first parent teacher conference only to discover that her daughter’s teacher is her former lover. With minimal dialogue, this was a really fun exploration in subtly of expression and the intricacy of human desire. It was also my first time playing someone’s mother! Very weird. Very fun.
